The third experiment chosen by SpaceIL for the Beresheet2 mission will be carried out using a hyperspectral camera that will cover over 100 continuous spectral channels in the visible and near-infrared wavelength range and will provide an unprecedented opportunity to analyze physical and chemical processes on the surface of the moon.
The hyperspectral camera was originally developed at Ben Gurion University by Professors Adrian Stern, Dan Blumberg, Stanley Rothman and Dr. Yitzhak August.
The technology has since been licensed to Noohra, which develops and builds the hyperspectral camera that will be integrated into Beresheet2 in close collaboration with ISIS (ImageSat International ).
