SpaceUP is SpaceIL’s flagship educational program, designed to make space engineering accessible to students through a direct connection to a real space project – the Beresheet mission.

The program focuses on space exploration and offers students a hands on learning experience. Participants explore the challenges of space missions and conduct scientific research based on real data received from the spacecraft’s sensors. The program emphasizes the development of thinking skills alongside scientific and technological literacy.

SpaceUP is an international program led by SpaceIL and is available in Hebrew, English, French, and Arabic.

The program was developed in collaboration with Compedia.

The program includes :

- Learning through videos, interactive activities, and collaborative tasks in an innovative learning environment developed specifically for the program.

- Work on a challenging research mission based on real data from the Beresheet spacecraft.

- Connection to the Israeli space industry and academia.

- Introduction to and hands on work with AI tools.

- Strengthening learning and thinking skills: research skills, self directed learning, collaborative learning, information literacy, and creative thinking.

- Guidance for each class by the SpaceIL team.

The program is designed for middle school and high school students .

The program should be led by a school appointed teacher, including training and ongoing support throughout the year.

School Requirements

- Appointment of a dedicated accompanying teacher.

- Two weekly hours throughout the school year.

- Allocation of a computer classroom for program sessions.

- Annual program fee.
