Aviv Labs is leading a pioneering lunar agriculture initiative aimed at demonstrating the feasibility of growing food beyond Earth.

Building on successful ISS experiments, the project will explore the cultivation of chickpeas under lunar conditions, focusing on seed adaptation to microgravity and radiation, closed-loop greenhouse systems, and efficient management of water, oxygen, and nutrients.

The initiative supports the vision of sustainable human presence on the Moon while advancing agricultural technologies that can also help address food-production challenges in harsh and arid environments on Earth.
